Cessna 207

General information about the Cessna 207 series

The Cessna 207 is a light aircraft of the American manufacturer Cessna. The machine was flown for the first time on 11 May 1968 and had its market entry in 1969. Between 1968 and 1985, 788 pieces of the model were built. The machine is a sophisticated shoulder sitter and initially had seven seats. Later, an eighth seat was installed. The Cessna 207 has a rigid nosewheel suspension and is powered by a piston engine. Cessna based its design on the Model 206. The hull was lengthened and another luggage compartment was installed. Initially, the model was referred to as Skywagon, later changed the name in Stationair 7. After the installation of the eighth seat, this was then renamed Stationair 8. When loading the machine, attention should be paid to the center of gravity so that it does not tip over on the rear part.

The Cessna 207 is an all-metal shoulder decker. Between the cockpit and the fire scrap is a luggage compartment. The double-winged cargo door behind the co-pilot's seat facilitates entry and exit. Nevertheless, this model can also be flown without a cargo door. This is for photo flights, or the dropping of parachutists of great advantage. The landing flaps are electrically operated and the nose wheel is mechanically controllable. There are different versions of the Cessna 207. The field of application varies from the parachute dropping, over aerial flights and the military use of the Argentine army.
