General information about the Cessna 206

The Cessna 206 belongs to a family of aircraft of the US company Cessna. The first flight took place in 1962, in the same year the market entry took place. Over 7,800 pieces of the model were built. The machine has a fixed chassis and was made for commercial use. As a modification to the Cessna 210, the Cessna 206 has a retractable landing gear. The successful bush plane has a combination of powerful engines, a rugged construction and a large cabin. The machine is also equipped with floats or skis and is therefore suitable for water or ice. Between 1986 and 1998 there was a production break. After 1998 this was resumed, there were some changes. On the one hand, other engines were used, on the other hand, there were much longer control intervals. These significantly reduced the operating costs. The Cessna U206 was introduced in 1964. The TU206 was made for flying at higher altitudes. The machine has a higher speed. In 1965, the Cessna P206 was introduced. The P stands for Person. After the mentioned production break the Cessna 206H was introduced. The engine was revised and production continued until 2008. The Cessna 205 is formally part of the Cessna 206 series. She was introduced in late 1962 as the first member of the family. During construction, Cessna was based on the model 210.
